Kai Puna Outrigger Canoe Club extends a warm welcome, and an invitation to all paddlers who wish
to compete in our Grand Prix Regatta on 1st December 2007.
This will be the first time Kai Puna OCC has held a Grand Prix Regatta and we are looking forward to
participation from all clubs to make this a great event.
The Great Sandy Straits can certainly prove to be challenging with northerly or south - easterly winds
providing exciting conditions and if conditions prove to be flat, the tides and sandbars challenge all
steerers in navigating their course.
Kai Puna has the support of the Hervey Bay Boat Club, which is our “home” and who are also major sponsors,
along with the Power Boat Club and Yacht Squadron, who will be providing ample support and safety boats.
AOCRA Regatta Rules will apply.
We look forward to hosting this great event, and hope that paddlers will support the Kai Puna Regatta.
